About
Built on Experience. Trusted by the Trades.
Empire Metal Products was founded in 2004 by Sal Farina, a seasoned fabricator and installer who learned the trade the right way; hands-on, from the old-school guys who didn’t cut corners or take excuses. After years of running other people’s shops, Sal made the decision to build something better. The mission was simple: deliver clean, accurate parts, answer the phone, and do right by our customers.
What began as a three-man crew in a 2,000 sq ft warehouse has grown into one of Arizona’s most capable fabrication operations. Today, Empire runs two full-scale facilities totaling 80,000 sq ft, employs over 150 people, and serves more than 600 contractors statewide, shipping everything from ductwork and fittings to structural steel and complex assemblies.
We process over four million pounds of metal every year—and that number keeps climbing. But growth has never come at the expense of standards. We’ve invested in high-end equipment to tighten tolerances and shorten lead times, scaled without bureaucracy, and stayed true to our values: build good parts, do what we say, and treat people with respect.

We handle everything from emergency specialty jobs to massive production orders—whether it’s a single welded elbow in a rush or 3,000 curb adapters for a school district rollout. We’ve supported hospitals with critical MRI ventilation systems, supplied rooftop platforms for industrial builds, and jumped in mid-project to fix jobs others got wrong. Our team builds clean parts that fit, ships when we say we will, and spots problems before they land on the job site. If you’re tired of chasing updates, returning bad work, or getting burned on lead times, this is why our customers keep coming back.
Empire has always been a high-output shop, but we never sacrificed craftsmanship. Our crew of fabricators, welders, layout techs, and project managers truly understands what they’re building and who it’s for. We’ve built a culture where deadlines matter, but quality matters more—where pride in your trade isn’t optional. Most of our growth comes the old-fashioned way: word of mouth.
Sal still leads day to day—he’s not in a corner office but out helping on the shop floor, making a surprise delivery or checking in with long-time customers. As President of the Mechanical Trade Contractors of Arizona, he pushes for better workforce training and gives a voice to the people actually doing the work. And at its heart, Empire is still a family business: all three of Sal’s children work alongside him, bringing next-gen thinking to our legendary values.
After 20 years, we’re just getting started. Our new Mesa distribution center expands our reach across the East Valley, with Tucson on the horizon. Every year, we take on more, grow smarter, and sharpen our edge—adding capacity, investing in talent, and finding new ways to raise the bar. Click here for an article about our 20 years in business.
Empire isn’t just a vendor - we’re your partner in getting the job done right the first time. We’re here to back you up with the kind of work you don’t have to second guess. Give us a chance to show you the way we do business.
“We built this place for contractors who actually care about the product they're installing for their customers.”
